Adding credentials

If your origin Git repository requires you to log in, or provide SSH keys for authentication it will be necessary for you to provide the Diffblue Cover platform with appropriate credentials to do so.

Procedure for adding a Git authentication credential

  1. Navigate to User profile.

  2. Click Add credentials.

  3. Click Credentials type.

For a password

  1. Select Username and password.

  2. Choose a relevant Credential Name, this will allow you to identify this credential uniquely in the future.

  3. Fill in your Username and Password, as required by your Git Origin Host.

  4. Click Add to confirm the addition of new username and password Git credential.

For a private key

  1. Select Private key.

  2. Choose a relevant Credential Name, this will allow you to identify this credential uniquely in the future.

  3. If the key file you supply requires it, you can input the Passphrase used to generate it.

  4. Click Choose file and navigate to the relevant RSA private key file in your file system, for example ~/.ssh/id_rsa.

  5. Click Add to confirm the addition of a new private key.

Using credentials

Note: you must have set up a credential in order to use it.

  1. Navigate to Add project.

  2. Select Repository.

  3. Fill in Your project name and the relevant repository URL.

  4. Under Authentication, you will be able to select one of the authentication credentials you have provided.

  5. Click Verify repository
